International Best Selling author, Robert Greene, was born in Los
Angeles California. He went to school at University of
California, Berkeley and University of Wisconsin at Madison and
received his degree in classical studies. He worked in New
York as both an editor and a writer for several magazines, including
Esquire; and worked in Hollywood as a story developer and as a
writer.
Robert Greene speaks many languages fluently, have worked as a
translator, and has lived in London, Paris and Barcelona. In
1995, Robert Greene met Joost Elffers, a New York book publisher,
and discussed the idea of a book on power and manipulation.
Greene and Elffers worked together and in 1998, the book The 48
Laws of Power was written. It became an international best
seller and was translated into 17 languages world wide. This
is the modern version of Machiavelli's The Prince, along with many
other influences including Sun Tzu's the Art of War.
In 2001, Greene wrote his second book, The Art of Seduction,
which is a handbook on being the ultimate seducer with examples into
the lives of the greatest seducers in history. In 2006, Greene
wrote his third book, The 33 Strategies of War, which is a
modern verison of Sun Tzu's Art of War. Together these books
create the ultimate bible in strategy, power and seduction. In
2009, Greene collaborated with Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson to produce
his 4th book, The 50th Law.
Currently, Robert Greene resides in Los Angeles, California.
